William L. Harben is a Texas-born novelist and storyteller recognized for blending crime, suspense, and the supernatural. His debut novel, I’ve Been Waiting, was honored as a Finalist for Best New (Debut) Fiction by the American Writing Awards, praised for its emotional depth and psychological tension.

Born in Fort Worth and raised in Dumas, Texas, Harben grew up surrounded by adventure and small-town charm. After graduating from Texas Tech University, he spent years as a teacher and coach, where his talent for storytelling inspired those around him.

Driven by a fascination with mystery and the paranormal, Harben began writing I’ve Been Waiting—a story twenty years in the making that explores loss, vengeance, and redemption. His writing combines real emotion with haunting intrigue, capturing the struggle between justice and conscience.

He now lives in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with his wife, Lita, and their two children, continuing to craft stories that challenge readers to think and feel beyond the ordinary.
